We're enjoying some beautiful, sunny days in the East Neuk!
Here at The Fisherman's Larder, one clear sign that spring has arrived, is the upsurge in orders for our local, just-caught shellfish and delicious, dressed crab. It's been a long winter and we're now looking forward to spending more time at the shed, bringing you the freshest, tastiest shellfish - out of the sea, onto your plate.
Meanwhile, our resident fisherman and seafood specialist has been finding plenty of ways to stay busy through the winter. Jim's been sourcing shellfish - weather permitting - for local retailers and private clients. He's also been spending plenty of time at sea on a local fishing boat, providing an extra pair of hand on deck. This season, we've seen a few stormy days, where the only option has been to bring the boats back to harbour and batten down the hatches.
So, when days like this arrive, it's a cause for celebration on the coast - and of course, a chance to get back to work....
