You Can Take The Fisherman Out Of The East Neuk...

Last week, Jim Knox at The Fisherman's Larder crossed the Forth - wearing his signature yellow wellies and with his tools of the trade - to visit our capital city. There, he met both Richard Lochhead MSP and delegates from all over the EU who had convened in Edinburgh to discuss European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and Community Led Local Development.
Our seafood specialist joined the group in Surgeons' Hall, to give his 'dressing a crab' demonstration at an event organised by Marine ScotlandFARNET and The Scottish Government.
Following a taste test, we were delighted when Richard Lochhead - the Scottish Government's Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Food & Environment - gave our local, just caught dressed crab his seal of approval!
Meanwhile, Surgeon's Hall proved to be an impressive backdrop for the occasion and we discovered some interesting reading in the library... including Knox's Manual of Human Anatomy!
We're pleased to confirm our own Mr Knox is now back in the East Neuk of Fife, ready to use his 'surgical tools' for dressing crab and cooking lobster ahead of festive, seafood feasts...
